Course Description
These two dynamic sessions will provide an overview of the transition from fee-for-service to value-based payment models, specifically focused on Medicare’s Quality Payment Program (QPP). Updates will be provided on the 2025 QPP Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS), program parameters, pathways for participation, changes in MIPS reporting requirements for audiologists, and how an audiologist can determine if participation is required. Resources will be provided to identify the reporting mechanisms for designated measures requirements for quality reporting.

- Attendees will be able to differentiate Fee-for-Service vs Value-Based Care healthcare payment models.
- Attendees will be able to identify requirements for participation and reporting under the CMS Merit-based Incentive Payment System.
- Attendees will be able to identify quality measures in the CMS MIPS designated measures set for audiology.

- Identify the 2025 measure reporting options under the CMS Quality Payment Program.
- Discuss the components of quality measures that are essential for successful reporting.

About the Audiology Quality Consortium
The AQC’s mission is to:
- Collaborate on the development of audiology quality measures for use in the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and with other health care payers
- Monitor the status of audiology quality measures for reporting under MIPS and other health care payers
- Respond to proposed rules and measure changes by CMS and other measure owners on behalf of the audiology community
- Educate audiologists regarding audiology quality reporting and MIPS requirements
